It has been unusually cold in Denver this week. Last night was -30 degrees with the windchill. Schools were closed for “adverse weather conditions” because they didn’t want children freezing their skin off while they waited for school buses that might not even start in the morning cold. Caroline got to have a sleepover at a friend’s house, so we let Marfy and Will have their own little “sleepover”. First, this is the longest they have ever gotten along peacefully in one stretch. (perhaps the sleeping had something to do with it?) Second, they look more alike when they are sleeping. (perhaps it’s the only time they are still enough for us to compare?) Finally, they have solved the long standing scientific mystery – is Snuggle vs. Space Sleeping an inherited trait? The answer is no. I am a “Space” sleeper. Marfy and Will are not.
I used to think people who took pictures of sleeping people were creepy. Not so much anymore, now that I am one of them.
As for the weather, we are escaping the negative temps and running away to sunny California for the weekend to visit our family there and get to see some old college buddies. The trip was planned awhile ago, but it couldn’t have come at a more perfect temperature. WooHoo!!!!
